1. Overview
DropzChek ("we," "us," or "our") operates dropzchek.comand related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service—including when you sign in with Google—you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, optional name, password hash (for email sign-up), role, and account settings.
- Google sign-in:if you choose "Continue with Google," we receive information from Google such as your Google account ID, email address, and name (and profile picture URL if provided). We use this to create or link your account and sign you in. We do not receive your Google password.
- Artwork and metadata: images you upload for compliance checks, titles, artist names, and related fields you enter in the checker or studio.
- Usage data: report counts, studio generation usage, plan tier, and activity history tied to your account.
- Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, not full card numbers.
- Technical data: session cookies, server logs, IP address, browser type, and similar data needed to secure and operate the Service.
- Marketing preferences: if you opt in, we store your choice to receive product tips and updates.
3. How we use information
- Provide artwork compliance reports and AI studio features.
- Authenticate you and maintain your session.
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- Send service-related messages (for example, account or billing notices).
- Send marketing emails only if you opted in; you may opt out as described in those emails or in account settings when available.
- Improve reliability, security, and product quality.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Google OAuth
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google account data only to authenticate you and manage your DropzChek account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (for example, session cookies after login or Google sign-in) and to support anonymous usage tracking before you create an account. These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Service providers
We share information with trusted providers only as needed to operate the Service, such as:
- Google (OAuth sign-in)
- Stripe (payments)
- Hosting and email delivery providers
- OCR or AI providers when you use features that require them
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies and only for the purposes we specify.
7. Retention
We retain account and activity data while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and billing purposes. Uploaded artwork used for checks may be stored in your activity history; you may contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to limitations required by law or legitimate business needs (such as completed billing records).
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at contact@dropzchek.com to make a request. If you use Google sign-in, you can also revoke DropzChek's access from your Google Account permissions.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
